FIDGET QUILTS
Fidget Quilts is an ongoing community program reaching out to those men and woman afflicted with Dementia or Alzheimer’s and children with ADD. Fidget quilts are about keeping hands and fingers busy; they are all about texture and keeping a person engaged with their surroundings. The Fidget Quilts are very small tactile lap quilts. Many of these quilts are embellished with zippers, snaps, closures, buttons, ties, bows, ribbons, pockets, pom poms, braids, and more…
YTD 2023, we have delivered 40 Fidget Quilts.
In 2022 YTD QGbtS delivered 92 Fidget Quilts. Demand for our fidget quilts continues to grow.
Guild members of all abilities are welcome to participate in making these quilts that need be no bigger than lap size or as small as a placemat.
