Linda B had the honor of presenting Jeffery-Air Force , Anthony-Army, Brian Demers-Army, and Joseph- Army their Quilts of Valor at the America Legion today (4-28).

Jane and Linda B. had the pleasure of awarding Eugene his Quilt of Valor this morning (4/14).

Kristi and Linda B. had the privilege of presenting William Franco, George Leonard, Richard McClaren, and Dennis Rodriquez their Quilts of Valor today.

Grace had the great honor of awarding a Quilt of Valor today to 99 years young Navy veteran Edward K. He served as a Navy pilot and told us stories about learning to fly from his tough women pilot instructors. He was thanked for his service to our country and welcomed home.

Grace had the honor of awarding Quilts of Valor today to four veterans on behalf of Quilt Guild by the Sea. Kermain K. served in the Army in Iraq. Jesus M. served in the Army in Haiti, the Sinai Penninsula, and Egypt. Alexis R. served in the Navy on the Harry S. Truman Aircraft Carrier in Saudi Arabia, Greece, Gulf Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Slovenia, and Dubai. Luis O. ( not pictured) served in the Army in Kuwait and Iraq. They were thanked for their service to our country and our community and welcomed home

Jane, Kristi, Letty and Linda had the privilege of honoring 9 veterans Feb. 3 at the four chaplain’s event in Boynton Beach.

Linda had the honor of awarding Robert Wilt and Victore Melendez their Quilts of Valor this evening, January 21.

Kristi and Linda presented William Morse, Bob Sablo and Joel Davidson their Quilts of Valor quilts at the Kiwanis meeting January 17.

Sue, Marlys, Kristi and Linda had the honor of awarding 10 veterans their Quilts of Valor November 10th at Banyan Place.

Kristi and Linda had the honor of awarding Paul Kalkstein, Air Force and James Sanders, Army their Quilts of Valor November 10th at Banyan Place.

Grace had the honor of awarding Quilts of Valor November 10th to two veterans on behalf of Quilt Guild by the Sea during a Veterans Appreciation Luncheon. Robert E. served in numerous deployments while in the U.S. Army for a total of 33 years. Marco C. also served in the U.S. Army during Iraqi Freedom. They were thanked for their service to our country and our community and welcomed home.

Kristi and Linda presented Lawrence Straus his Quilt of Valor at Vizcaya this November 10th

Grace had the honor of awarding a Quilt of Valor to Kenneth O. on behalf of Quilt Guild by the Sea today during a cake cutting celebration of the U.S. Marines Corps 248th birthday. He served in the U.S. Marines for a total of 32 years during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and in Bosnia, Kosovo, Haiti, and Africa. He was thanked for his service to our country and our community and welcomed home.

Edward, Air Force and Thomas, Army their Quilts of Valor with Quilts of Valor at Veterans Memorial Park today. Both veterans were joined by several family members and friends.

DECEMBER 2021

The 80th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor was on December 7th. Pat Lynes and Marie Christine Leavitt joined in the ceremony honoring WWII veterans with Quilts of Valor. They presented 14 quilts with the help of ROTC Cadets.

The group that put on the program honors not only the men that served in the military but also the families that kept the home fires burning. There was also entertainment by the Victory Dolls; they performed music from the 40's and made a big fuss over the Vets.

Two presentations of Quilts of Valor were made to veterans of the Vietnam War. The first gentleman is Jim from Ft Lauderdale (army). Second is Bud from Boca Raton (army).

Fifty-one (51) veterans were awarded Quilts of Valor at a ceremony on March 5, 2020. Quilt Guild by the Sea members joined Gold Coast Quilters Guild and the Palm Beach Patriotic Quilters as the South Florida Coalition of Quilts of Valor Quilters. The Patriotic Guard Riders also assisted during the ceremony held at the Sunrise Civic Center.

On March 21, 2019 members of Quilt Guild by the Sea joined members of the Gold Coast Quilters Guild as the South Florida Coalition of Quilts of Valor Quilters to award Quilts of Valor to fifty-seven (57) veterans from all branches of the military. The ceremony was held at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center and was presented in partnership with the United Way of Broward County’s Mission United. The veterans served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Cold War, Kosovo, Gulf War, Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan. They were welcomed home and thanked for their service.
